Approach

1+1=U provides a unique approach to recruiting and mentoring youth. Because we know 1-on-1 attention leads to the best results, hence, the name, 1+1=U.

This program specializes in boosting students’ reading, spelling, math and writing abilities. Experienced and compassionate instructors and mentors help keep students focused, organized and able to complete assignments on time and with excellence.

As an educator, Margaret has the sensitivity and first-hand experience to reach out to the numerous students in the program that have a learning disability. She has learned that some of the students become disruptive or do not participate in class because they fear they will be labeled “stupid.” But in the 1+1=U program, we combine individualized, structured teaching with the belief that all students can excel. There are few places in the Louisville area that provides instruction tailored to fit the needs of dyslexic students.
