Bob Schiavone

Bob Schiavone is a 1981 graduate of Ballard High School, where he played varsity basketball in 1980 and 1981. Upon graduation, he attended the University of Kentucky where he earned his degree, Bachelor Business Administration, concentration in marketing in 1985. His love of travel & adventure led him to backpack Europe for 4 months before starting out his work career. His first 4 years of employment were in Atlanta, GA selling copiers for 3M. This is where he met Cindy McDade, his wife to be. He moved back to Louisville in 1989 to begin a career in pharmaceutical sales with Bristol-Myer Squibb. In 2004 after 16 years of employment, he decided to leave there and help create a sales force for a Specialty Biotech firm, Santarus, Inc. In 2011, after 7 years there, he transitioned to ArcturusHR, LLC a locally owned & operated HR firm, specializing in payroll solutions as their VP of Sales. Finally in 2013 after a company buyout, Bob has joined ADP as a District Manager in Major Account Sales.

He is married to Cindy Schiavone, a pre-school teacher at CCUM. They have 2 sons, Bobby III, a Sophomore at UL and Paul a Junior at Ballard. Both boys playing basketball got him involved with FOCUS, a 501 C 3 non-profit basketball organization. Bob has coached basketball through the YMCA, Middletown Recreation Association, St. Matthews Recreation Association, Dunn Elementary, and Kammerer Middle School. He currently is the Varsity basketball score keeper for Ballard HS. Bob has lived trying to make a positive difference in young people's lives in a role model way and help them achieve their dreams in basketball and life.

Bob's motto from the Bible, β€œto he much is given, much is expected". Bob is a member of Christ Church United Methodist as well as St Albert the Great. Faith being very important in his life is exactly why he is involved with 1=1=U. Making a positive difference in young peoples live is what it's all about. Thanks to Margaret Dunbar-Demaree, our President and the rest of the Board for this exciting opportunity!
