Michele L. Shelton, CDP, CPC, is founding CEO of Shelton Holdings, LLC and Principal Speaker and Consultant of Michele Shelton LLC, a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) executive coaching and consulting firm based in Louisville, KY. Specializing in race and gender equity, Michele is noted for challenging the status quo and empowering courageous organizational leaders to confront and conquer the “-isms” that threaten both our humanity and the bottom line at work and beyond. For more than 20 years, Michele held leadership roles providing oversight to equal opportunity and diversity efforts as an entrepreneur, city and state government official, corporate executive, and nonprofit program manager of workforce development initiatives in collaboration with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, U.S. Department of Labor, and National Urban League. She is a member of the National Speakers Association, Society for Human Resource Management, National Diversity Council, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, and Leadership Louisville. Michele has been featured in radio, print, television, and streaming media. In 2020 she was recognized as a Top 100 Diversity Trailblazer by Talenya and honored as a 2021 Alumni Fellow by the University of Louisville for her career accomplishments. Michele continues to impact local communities by serving on councils, boards, and task forces advancing equal opportunity and equity in healthcare, education, employment, and entrepreneurship. An alumna of Louisville Central High School, the University of Louisville, and Louisville Seminary, Michele also holds several mastery and specialty certifications in workforce and leadership training, executive coaching, and ministry. She is a contributing author to three international anthologies and keynotes, coaches, consults, on an international basis.
