Rev. Marcia J. Cole-Morton

Rev. Marcia J. Cole-Morton is a native of Louisville Kentucky. In October 1995 , local preacher Marcia J. Cole-Morton was sent to her home church, Spradling Memorial A M E Zion, as the supply pastor. Through His own infinite wisdom, God sent Spradling one of their own raised and educated in the A M E Zion Church. Pastor Morton graduated from Louisville Male High School where she was voted most athletic female in the area of track and field. She attended Western Kentucky University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical education and Health. From there she went on to the University of Louisville and received her graduate degree in Special Education. Pastor Morton also attended Simmons Bible College where she obtained a Bachelor degree in Theology. In 2017 she graduate from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity degree where she also received the Thomas Hill award for Persistences in Theological Studies. To God be the Glory In November of 2009 Pastor Morton was inducted into the Metro Area Athletic Directors Hall of Fame where she was also the Keynote Speaker. March 18, of 2017 Pastor Marcia was inducted into the Kentucky High School Athletic Association’s Hall of Fame for her excellence in track and field and coaching the same, and in 2018 she was inducted into the Louisville Male High School Hall of Fame. After nineteen years of pastoring her home church, in the summer of 2016 Bishop Darryl B. Starnes, through the prompting of the Holy Spirit assigned Rev. Marcia J. Cole-Morton to Stoner Memorial A M E Zion Church. To God be the Glory. Pastor Morton is the proud mother of what she calls her “Blessed Black Baby from Heaven,” Miles Barrington Morton who in the spring of 2016 graduated from her alma mater, Western Kentucky University with a degree in Communications. Pastor Mortons’ favorite scripture is 1 Corinthians 2:9 However, as it is written: “No eye has seen, No ear has heard, No mind has conceived, What God has prepared for those who love Him.” To God be the Glory.
